I have no problem with a ban list but why show part of the person's IP? Why not just remove that part like they do on 8chan's ban list?

I'm beginning to think that bans list should just be gotten rid of. Why advertise bans on an imageboard that's so dead? And having part of the banned persons IP on display probably puts people off from posting here.
