Yesterday I discovered that I have a baby gecko living in my flat. I caught a fly and fed it. He will grow strong with such sustenance, I am sure of it. Soon I will have my own guardian against the insect hordes.

Lizards are indeed the superior animal friend species. If I see him again, I'll try and get a photo.

Nice, I think I'm going to get a cool lizard once I get my own place, am going to start with a leopard gecko but Demolition D made me want a blue tongued skink. Pictures would be cool!

I've had blue-tongues just chill in my yard before when I was a youngster. They're pretty cool. They're like the archetypal NEET lizard really, they had their den, one I particularly recall was in a retaining wall we had, but they barely leave except to find something resembling food, find being the keyword since they're foragers rather than hunters, too lethargic to actually exert themselves for that. Even when they're basking it's always very close to their den.

One advantage to living in Australia is that we do get all kinds of neat reptiles, and as a reptile guy who has never had problems with snakes or lizards or anything, it's a wonderful thing. If I had the land, I'd love to have a carpet python since they're big sweeties that scare warm-bloods and keep rodents and other small pests off your property, I also recall helping my dad move a big 6 footer off the highway when I was 9 or 10 which was pretty formative in cementing my love of reptiles really. Fuck spiders though, they can die in nuclear hellfire.

Ahh that sounds cool! I only had one for a few days as a kid then let him go, my dad found a blue tailed skink and gave him to me but then I decided he'd be happier free since he was wild. That is the perfect type of lizard then, I think they are like lazy dog lizards.
Snakes are cool too! I just get grossed out by dead mice, I saw two spiders on my bed yesterday have been sleeping on the couch.

They're pretty cool. I overstate their laziness but they aren't a predatory species which makes them very good pets compared to something like a python which does actively hunt rather than passively roam for unsuspecting bugs. Common garden skinks are also good starter lizards due to the low overhead costs on them. They're usually too small to require a massive terrarium and catching them is often trivial. I wish we had the American ones because they're really pretty looking, especially in their juvenile stage.

Great video by the way, laughed my arse off.

Going to have to report this thread OP, as fucking people directly violates rule 8.
I can't believe he got away with it for so long, simply shameful.

>Are you being sarcastic?
It's more of a case of selective retardism, and very dry humor.
