I'm currently watching Watamote, I felt betrayed as I saw Tomoko cheat at a kid's tournament.
I can't fall in love with such a vile mindset.

>>238I used to go on /jp/, and I saved an anime recommendation guide. Currently I'm watching "Claymore", which was on there. It's about these succubi who are half-human, half-monster, and they fight full-blooded monsters. It's basically a Japanese version of "The Witcher", with succubi Witchers. The first few episodes are slow, but it really grows on you.
Another very excellent, long anime is Natsume Yuujinchou.

I've recently become very interested in Naruto. It seems like a very wizardly and underrated (on chans) series.
It gets a lot of unwarranted hate.

Not anime but am currently starting to read Dorohedoro after my junji ito fix. Very good artwork and it's kept me reading.
>>359I started the first episode of it a long time ago but never got into it, It will change one day since I have it downloaded of course.
>>450Nice If I'm interested should I watch it or read it?
>>454I watched the first 4 episodes, It's got a comfy atmosphere but it's a large investment for sure if you try to finish it or catch up.

>>967I highly enjoyed it, up until season 5. The whole friendship development plotline sort of pissed me off. I just wanted to watch an anime about a guy and a Youkai cat who do cool things. I've also recently tried watching "Tokyo Ghoul" but lost interest.

>>966>Isekai ShokudoCenters around a Japanese Restaurant that links to a fantasy world, it's very comfy.
If you like Isekai Shokudo, Isekai Izakaya Nobu is similar>Fumikiri JikanSmall 5 minute episodes that focus on the conversations that occur while people are waiting for the train to pass by.
From what I remember, almost all of the episodes have a female character, and some focus on high school kids, but it's still comfy>Eve no JikanFocuses on a cafe that doesn't discriminate between androids and humans, in a world where androids are treated as tools.
That's all that I've watched that I can remember, I don't really watch many slice-of-life anime.

>>969Thank you very much for the post, Liz. Isekai Shokudo has really peaked my interest. I'm gonna watch it, and report back. That's the exact kind of Anime I would enjoy.
And yeah, Tokyo Ghoul is a very normalcattle sort of anime, it seems. I thought it would be cool because it had the ghouls that eat human flesh, but I stopped at the gourmet festival trap episode; it was just too much.

How Clumsy You Are Miss Ueno:
A comedy about a girl who has a crush on her kohai and makes different science gadgets to try to get closer to him.
It's kind of funny and a pretty good time waster. What I love the most about it is the art style. Gives off a midday cartoon sort of vibe.
>>454>underrated (on chans) I have seen a few /pol/fags praise Naruto for having vaguely fascistic elements. I think the main reason why a lot of IB users hate Naruto is less because the series itself is bad and more because the fanbase is full of edgy, spoiled teenagers that waste their money on Supreme merchandise. It's a pretty stupid reason to hate a show but I can see where they are coming from.

>>1339I'm probably not the best person to talk about wether a show is good or not because I unironically enjoy Death Note as an adult, but I tried Naruto for a few episodes and couldn't get interested in the characters. Maybe part of it is the fact that theres about a billion episodes and I didn't want to get invested in mediocre characters for that long.

>>1340>part of it is the fact that theres about a billion episodes and I didn't want to get invested in mediocre characters for that longFair enough. At least you tried it out didn't just think it was shit beacuse you saw some Linkin Park AMVs or mumble rap edits and judge it purely off of that. I personally may have a bit of a bias though because Naruto was a large part of my childhood.

>>1407It's not bad, but it's hardly my favourite UC entry. I'd kill for a good We're Federation Hooligans OVA though. Now that was a manga with good MS designs. On the other hand, Zeon sells gunpla kits like nothing else from what I understand and I think that aggressor squadron variants of GMs are hardly going to be the most exciting ones on the shelf, so Feddie Hooligans will never get an adaptation if I was to make a wager.

>>1407>>1408How do I get into Gundam anime, Is there a specific entry point or is that for only some series?
No.
1412
>>1409There are two broad gr
categories. Universal Century, or UC, has the same setting, technology and follows from the One Year War through its aftermath, with late UC basically just being its own thing. This is the original show's timeline, and I'd start with 0079 and then Zeta. ZZ (Double Zeta) is divisive but I liked it and there are bits that become relevant later. After that, watch either some OVAs, some are pretty unfinished and others are pretty good. If you want to, after that you can finish off UC with Victory Gundam, but like I said, late UC is kind of its own thing, though seeing how MS design changes over the course of the timeline is pretty cool.
Then there is Alternate Universe series, which can be watched however because they aren't connected. The same is true for UC, each can be enjoyed on its own, but unlike AU, you get extra for following the series.
No.
1413
>>1408Yeah, I agree GMs are under represented in animated Gundam media. My favorite MS designs are from the novel Sentinel Gundam though, which will probably never be animated because of copyright issues.
>>1409Watch 0079 series first, it's great. Move onto Zeta/ZZ then maybe watch a couple of OVAs like 0080 and 0083.
No.
1414
>>1412>>1413Thanks guys i'll keep these post in mind when i need a new show to binge, which should be soon.
No.
1418
>>1413Yeah, Sentinel does have some neat designs. I find the ZZ/CCA period of UC pretty interesting in the timeline's MS development. It's the end of the first evolution of MS design where they got bigger, badder and more complex. The last time that MS design went for trying to defend themselves with armour because destructive power just outpaced defensive ability. After that, you see the trend reverse and they get smaller to become harder to hit because they finally clued on that there was no practical way to armour an MS against a direct beam rifle hit. The same period is also interesting in how weird it starts to get in terms of space autism compared to the OYW, likewise an interesting development in UC.
Feddie Hooligans is mostly just paintjobs though when I say variants, not like FAZZ which is a distinct proto-ZZ. What I like about the designs is that they're set up for training purposes, kind of like fighters are at Red Flag*. The differences might be small, and the suits not true variants since the story focuses on enlisted troops with stock gear, but still. They've put out smaller differences between units before and the premise is quite unique.

>>1462>ShamoGreat if you like depressing manga, or if you like martial arts. Very first panel shows MC killing his parents, and the manga follows his spiral downwards.
>Vinland SagaSimilar to Berserk. It's set in the early 11th century Europe. Central themes are betrayal and vengeance
>Black LagoonJapanese salaryman joins a South-East Asian pirate crew
>Any of Junji Ito's storiesGreat if your into cosmic/lovecraftian horror. Tomie revolves around a succubus that lures men to their deaths;Layers of Fear and Human Chair are short stories; Mimi's Ghost Stories and Yami no Koe are anthologies.
I've only just got into manga since the start of the year, so I'm afraid I don't have many to recommend. Ubel Blatt is supposed to be decent if you enjoyed Berserk, but I haven't read it so I don't know.

>>1462My personal favorites are:
Kyou kara Ore wa!! (High school comedy/action with delinquents)
Angel Densetsu (same as above)
Black Jack (episodic series of adventures of an eccentric doctor, drawn by the God of manga, Osamu Tezuka)
Kozure Ookami (A tale of revenge about a man who's disgraced by a clan of assassins, if you like films such as Yojimbo and Seven Samurai, you'll love this)
Bakuon Rettou (A manga about a bosozoku gang, takes place in the 80's and has a very dark ambiance and realism to it)
Homunculus (Very fucked up psychological stuff about trepanation)
Takemitsuzamurai (A short samurai manga with a distinct artstyle)
Saikyou Densetsu Kurosawa (Very lizardly, it's about a 40 year old unmarried man who's working on a dead end job who just wants a little respect. My favorite work of Fukumoto Nobuyuki)
This chart might help you as well:

>>2484>I hate reading manga and having to stop to wait for releases and translators. There are dozens of series Ive read midway that are already finished but the translators releases are like 2-3 times per year.
It also fucking sucks when I read said multiple series midway 3+ years ago and I barely remember what happened and the translators got off their ass and im already reading 3 other things atm, really blows.
For one manga I was reading theres like 2 volumes left but hasnt been updated in 5 years so I found the raws online and used google translate to roughly figure out what happened in the end, pretty fun and I got some chuckles at the awful translation.
